Should You Worry About Ganglion Cysts?

by Natalie (SU)
A ganglion cyst is a lump or welling that develops on top of a tendon (which connect bone to muscle) or a joint. They frequently occur on the wrist or hand. A cyst is essentially a thin walled sac that contains fluid. Ganglion cysts, for instance, are filled with a jelly-like fluid, and may feel either spongy or very hard and firm. Ganglion cysts can vary in size and may occur as a single cyst or multiple ones, which are usually connected below the surface tissue.
